Page Authority
Page Authority (PA) is a Moz metric that predicts the ranking strength of a specific page, on a scale of 1 to 100, based on the quantity and quality of backlinks pointing to that individual URL. Unlike Domain Authority, which measures the entire domain's link equity, Page Authority is URL-specific and reflects the accumulated link signals for a single page.
PA is useful for evaluating the strength of individual URLs when conducting competitive analysis or assessing the ranking potential of specific landing pages, blog posts, or product pages. High PA pages can pass more link juice to other pages they internally link to, making PA an important consideration when designing internal linking strategies.
Why it matters for SEO
Understanding the Page Authority of your key pages helps prioritize link-building efforts and internal linking strategy. Pages with high PA are your strongest link equity sources — ensuring they link to important but lower-authority pages can meaningfully improve those pages' ranking potential.
